Here's what I have of the clean version so far....still some bits and magazine to do. Once clean version is finished then I'm planning a Salient version that's a bit beat up.

Glock/Suppressor/Light: Crash
Trijicon RMR: RedRogueXIII

Been a while gents! Be gentle.

looking good. saw your work on gb and i think you should switch to a pbr renderer like marmoset toolbag, xoliul/3point was the shit back in the day but shit's changed since then, unless you deliberately want to go for this style

plastics seem a bit too glossy imo

right now every material feels somewhat the same so it would benefit from some material definition

way to make me feel old, fuckface

Noodum: I've been out of this for so long I don't know jack about the rendering side lol. You have links to some of what you suggested so I can read up or download?

Crash: I agree. I still need to add texture definition in the metal bits. The glossyness of the plastic is probably due to my rendering skills lol. Superb model/normals, etc. man.

Thanks guys.

Oh boy more software to learn lol. Thanks for the link. I'll check into it.

Can you tell me how to separate the object? I can't remember how to do it.
The glock is one object and I want to seperate the parts.... suppressor, light, magazine, and slide.

If it's not a problem I'd appreciate it.

Toolbag 3 is easy enough to use, definitely give it a shot.

For detaching the model, assuming you're using max, convert the model into an editable poly, press 5 to go into element mode, select the stuff you want to detach and hit detach (http://i.imgur.com/KhweG1d.png).

holy crap it's NC Furious! good start but one thing i can suggest is to turn up the polymer on the frame. although it could just be your render settings? it looks noisy even at a distance on the real thing. could also try making the next render like this picture also so we can see the fine details you've put in.

Ha what's up Splinter. Long time man. It's got some noise on the map. My render skills to be honest lol.

A few close ups. If I missed any details let me know. I know you got that shit down to a science. This is the "clean" version though. Gonna try to do a Salient version that's beat up when I have this complete. Just wish I had a Salient model with the slide cut outs, forward slide serrations and stuff.
